Last night, Rene and I were watching a travel show.  The host was in Italy and eating interesting food.  Well, I've watched enough Food shows in India to know that they can say the word beef on TV, even though the cow is considered Holy in India.  One of the odd items that the traveler was served on last night's program was Cow Intestines (not 'beef' intestines)...but on Indian TV, they *bleeped* out the word Cow!  In addition, many programs on TV have English subtitles, even if the show is in English.  Sometimes with the many English accents (American, Indian, British, Australian), this is helpful...even the word Cow in the subtitles was blurred out.

I couldn't help laughing.

Birds and the Bees

So, Benjamin & i had our first birds and the bees chat.  He was helping me cook some chicken fried rice the other day, which included an egg.
B: Where does an egg come from?
Me: A chicken
B: No, but where?
Me: Inside the chicken
B: How does it get there?
Me: Well....[mom starting to panic at how in depth this conversation with my 3 year old is going to go]...an egg inside a chicken is like when a mommy is pregnant.
B: Then it comes out its' bottom?
Me: Yes, I think so, but I don't know chickens well, so you may have to ask Papa.  =)
