I am forever grateful for the difference 2 young ladies have made in my son's life. They have taught him something that I would have struggled to teach him. Last year, Makaela & Samantha babysat Benjamin many evenings and taught him to pray. Thank you Girls! Here are some beautiful stories that I dedicate to you.
Recently, there was a very contagious virus that went around Benjamin's kindergarten, resulting in the school closing for a few days and many kids missing more than a week of school. We made it through fine, and the situation is thankfully over.
A couple of nights ago, I asked Benjamin if he would like to say a prayer before dinner. He proceeded to thank God for our food and then asked that God help the children with the Hand, Foot, Mouth Virus get better. Wow! The next day, I asked the director at Benjamin's school if they do any kind of praying at school. I told her about Benjamin's prayer. She said they do not pray at school, so that was his own doing. Impressive!
Today, we drove outside of town to a Hindu Holy Place. We saw a few pictures and statues of Hindu Gods laying in or around the river bed. Domnic told us that if a picture or statue breaks, then families may bring it to put it in the river.
Tonight, I asked Benjamin if he wanted to say a prayer before eating. He said:
Dear God. Thank you for the village we saw today. Please help the broken Ganesh statues get put back together...
Amazing!
Thank you Sam & Kaela!
